Missouri Football: 7 potential transfer destinations for Kelly Bryant
1. Penn State Nittany Lions
When Bryant originally announced his transfer I was rooting for him to transfer to Penn State. If you look at Trace McSorley over the past several seasons you will see a player who wasn’t the greatest of passers with sub-60 percent completion rates but found ways to make plays with his legs and surpassing career and single-season marks in passing yards and passing touchdowns.
Although Joe Moorhead has left the program to coach at Mississippi State, James Franklin still wants to run the same sort of offense which we’ve seen with how they utilized Tommy Stevens without McSorley on the field. Stevens has the potential but doesn’t have the experience that Bryant has nor the athletic abilities of Kelly Bryant.
If Franklin wants to ease what is expected to be a down year for the Nittany Lions, he will go after Bryant strongly and try to get him and Justin Shorter on the same page before the start of the season.
The Big Ten West isn’t getting any easier this season considering Justin Fields joined Ohio State and Michigan will likely look the same as they have over the past several seasons and Penn State can’t afford to slip back in the pack after earning national respect.
