player. 16. . DE/DT. Mississippi State. Jeffery Simmons. 9

The run of defensive talent is one that will live forever through this draft. Jeffery Simmons could be a Top-5 pick most other seasons, as the 6-foot-4, 300-pounder is nothing short of a beast along the defensive line. But he falls into the laps of the Buffalo Bills just months after star Kyle Williams decided to retire.

Simmons joined the Bulldogs in 2016 and quickly made an impact, recording three tackles for loss and seeing action in a dozen games. The next year, he became a force, recording 12 tackles for loss among his 60 stops with five sacks and two forced fumbles.

This past year, Simmons showed that he is ready for the NFL, setting career-highs with 63 total tackles, 25 solo stops, 18 tackles behind the line of scrimmage and four passes defended. He finished his three-year career with seven sacks and 33 tackles for loss, along with seven passes defended and five fumbles forced.
