Washington. Byron Murphy. 13. player. 59. . CB

Plain and simply put, the Miami Dolphins might end up with the steal of the 2019 NFL Draft if Byron Murphy drops to them. Many have the Washington redshirt sophomore landing much, much higher, but with other needs presented for teams, Murphy falls into the laps of the Dolphins here.

As a freshman, Murphy played in six games for the Huskies, recording 16 total tackles with three for loss, a sack and two interceptions. He also knocked down seven passes, showcasing the skills that everyone would see this past year.

Murphy, who stands just a shade under 6-foot and weighs over 180 pounds, picked off four passes, returning one for a touchdown, with 13 passes defended, 58 total tackles and four stops behind the line of scrimmage. He was tested over several weeks against top-flight wide receivers from the Pac-12.

Miami ranked 21st in passing yards allowed and 25th in passing touchdowns surrendered. Slotting Murphy right in on one side gives them a lockdown corner to pair with Minkah Fitzpatrick in the secondary.
