Oklahoma. Cody Ford. 17. player. 53. . G

This is a very big draft for the Cleveland Browns, and what better way to help budding quarterback Baker Mayfield than by reuniting him with a former big man to protect him. Cody Ford was an anchor along the offensive line for the Oklahoma Sooners, which included runs with Mayfield at the helm.

Ford helped Kyler Murray and Oklahoma return to the College Football Playoff this year, as the 6-foot-4, 338-pounder used his imposing size and strength to over-match defensive lineman.

At the NFL-level, Ford will not always be the bigger man, but he has the right skills to work his way into a successful career. The Browns failed to run for over 2,000 yards this year and scored just 15 team rushing touchdowns, numbers that rank in the lower portion of the league.

Situating Ford, who has a history with Mayfield and understands what it takes to block for quarterbacks who like to make plays with their feet, along the offensive line would be a strong decision that positively impacts the future.
