28. player. 13. . QB. Missouri. Drew Lock

It’s not often that you get a four-year starter this late in the first round, but with more athletic quarterbacks entering the draft, the Los Angeles Chargers luck out in selecting Drew Lock to eventually replace Philip Rivers.

Rivers, who is 37 years old, isn’t going anywhere right now, but the Chargers do need a replacement on the roster to groom for when he does retire. Rivers had his 11th straight season with over 4,000 yards, adding 32 touchdowns and just 12 interceptions.

And his game is a lot like Lock’s at this stage in his career. Lock threw for 12,193 yards for the Tigers with 99 touchdowns and 39 interceptions. He had his best season as a junior with 44 touchdowns, 3,964 yards and a 10.2 average per attempt. The 6-foot-4 Lock likes to test his limits, just like Rivers has done for years.
