Notre Dame Football: Top targets for 2019 NSD

With a few major contributors on their way out, here’s who Notre Dame football should have its eyes on as we approach 2019’s National Signing Day.

If Notre Dame’s blowout loss at the hands of Clemson doesn’t count as bitter, I’m not sure what does. The Irish appeared to be keeping things competitive early in the game, but the injury bug reared its head at the end of what many would consider to be a pretty healthy season. Nevertheless, the 2018 season ended in one of the worst ways possible.

One of the best ways to overcome a bitter moment is to keep your head up and look forward. As for the Irish coaching and recruiting staff, that’s exactly what needed to be done. While fans were forced to suffer through the aftermath of an embarrassing loss, recruiting coordinator Brian Polian and Co. turned their focus towards who would be suiting up for the Irish in 2019 and beyond.

While the bulk of the 2019 recruiting process has seen itself through, there are still a few loose ends to tie up before all is said and done. With that said, here are a few targets that the Irish should pay particular attention to heading into the 2019 NSD.
