3. Jonathan Sewell

As mentioned before, South Carolina could use more depth at the running back position after the 2019 season. At the very least, South Carolina could certainly use Jonathan Sewell to boost their ground attack having finished 2018 ranked 91st in rushing yards per game.

Sewell is listed as a three-star prospect and the 51st-ranked running back per 247Sports. The 5-10, 187-pound back from Athens, Ga., finished his senior season with 512 yards and four touchdowns.

Sewell also returned a few kickoffs his senior year, adding another dimension to his game. Muschamp and special teams coordinator, Coleman Hutzler, would appreciate more options at returner with the departure of Deebo Samuel, their most explosive kickoff return man.

Leading up to National Signing Day, South Carolina will have to edge out the likes of Auburn and Ole Miss to land Sewell. South Carolina may have a slight lead, but Sewell has been tight-lipped and no new information has surfaced about where he is leaning.

Muschamp has recruited well in the state of Georgia and landing Sewell would continue that positive trend and maybe even open the door for further gains in Athens where the Georgia Bulldogs are king.
