5. Parris Campbell –– Ohio State

Parris Campbell has quite an interesting college career. Although always considered a top-flight receiver by many, his stats don’t necessarily tell the whole story.

That is because the Ohio State quarterbacks typically spread the wealth around a usually very talented wide receiver corps.

It took Campbell until his junior season to finally breakthrough with production from a numbers standpoint, but he certainly made his presence known donning the scarlet and grey in his final two seasons at Ohio State.

In his college career overall, he hauled in 143 catches for 1,768 yards and 15 touchdowns. His senior year was indisputably his best as he marked career highs in receptions (90) while emerging as the top target for the Buckeyes throughout the 2018 season.

Additionally, he also nearly doubled his yardage total from 2017 to 2018 and also scored nine more touchdowns in 2018 than 2017.

This upward trajectory should pay large dividends for a receiver that has a lot of upsides –– and skills for that matter.

What really sets Campbell apart is his play style. Although he wears the No. 21 even as a receiver, the digits are indicative of the versatility he can provide to an offense.

At 6-foot-1, he runs with the agility and quickness of a running back. He often lined up in multiple positions for the Buckeyes –– whether it be on the outside, in the slot or in the backfield.

For instance, he was very successful at being the hot route on wide receiver screens and dueled as a ball carrier on jet sweeps.

When he finds the open field, Campbell is very shifty and makes it very difficult for defenders to get a clean shot at him.

Campbell’s multi-dimensional capabilities make him a dynamic player, which should attract professional scouts seeking to add more firepower to their offenses.
