3. D.K. Metcalf –– Ole Miss

D.K. Metcalf’s 2018 season –– his last season of college football before declaring for the draft –– was beset by a season-ending neck injury in October.

Even though he only appeared in seven games last season, he still had a sizable impact. Through those games, he collected 569 yards and five touchdowns on 26 catches. Those numbers would put him on pace for robust season totals.

He probably has a lower number of games played in than many would have liked to see, however, when he did play, Metcalf’s presence was felt in a big way.

Metcalf is another receiver on this list that has NFL-ready size. At 6-foot-4, 230 pounds, he already can match up with and be physical with NFL defensive backs.

About a week ago a picture was tweeted out that Metcalf was included in. Many people reacted with shock as the photo showed Metcalf put on a ton of muscle ahead of the NFL Combine, which is set to begin at the end of the month.

Outside of his physical stature, Metcalf showed an almost majestic ability to snag throws on the run at full speed with his arms fully outstretched.

Metcalf is most effective downfield and his brute strength paired with his height will make for a mighty target for a pro passing attack.
