Jachai Polite. 12. player. 49. . EDGE. Green Bay Packers

The Packers have a dire need for a pass rusher. Previous mock drafts have them selecting Brian Burns if he were available but I think the production and athleticism of Polite will make him the pick.

Polite was a force against opposing offense of line last season as he racked up 11 sacks and made an All-SEC team.

He can get to the passer with an excellent first step off the snap but also has the strength to bull rush past slower offensive tackles. How high is his ceiling? We could be looking at a rookie that can hit double-digit sacks if used properly. He can line up as an edge rusher or be used in a Khalil Mack type of role where the sole purpose is getting to the quarterback.

If the Packers pass on an edge rusher look for them to target the wide receiver position or pick up another young player in the secondary.
