2019 NFL Mock Draft: Projected first round before NFL Combine

59. . QB. Miami Dolphins. Kyler Murray. 13. player

The Dolphins won’t be trying out Ryan Tannehill for another season. He was a project coming out of Texas A&M as a converted wide receiver and he struggled to really make an impact on the franchise or stay healthy for that matter.

New head coach Robert Flores is a defensive minded coach under the Bill Belichick tree, but working with Tom Brady he clearly sees the value in having a quarterback that can help you win games on the biggest stage.

Murray put up video game type numbers in route to the Heisman Trophy last season as he threw for the 42 touchdowns while also killing defenses on the ground with 1,001 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns.

He can make a lot of the throws you need from the quarterback and the only knock on him is his size. He stands at 5-foot-10 and could have a hard time seeing over offensive lineman.

Not every short quarterback is a Russell Wilson or Drew Brees, but if Murray is used effectively he can be the quarterback of the future for the Dolphins.
