Jonah Williams. 3. player. 30. . OT. New York Jets

Todd Bowles was a defensive coach who drafted a lot of smart players on that side of the ball. Having Sam Donald fall into their lap in the 2018 NFL Draft was a luxury that no one in the front office saw coming.

Baker Mayfield won Rookie of the Year but you can still argue that Donald has the best long-term prospects of any quarterback in last year’s draft class. The Jets have a dire need for a pass rusher and could select one with this pick, but I think they will draft their long-term solution at the left tackle position and select Jonah Williams out of Alabama.

Williams is one of the most solid offensive tackle prospects that we have seen in a long time, and Alabama has produced several good ones the last couple of years. Although the Crimson Tide came up short in the national title game against Clemson the offensive line played well all season long and gave up just one sack per game between both star quarterbacks.

He can also get to the second level while run blocking and you will rarely see him out of position when dropping back to protect the quarterback. If the Jets pass on Williams they could look at Clelin Ferrell or Josh Allen out of Kentucky.
