Charles Omenihu’s build has scouts drooling. Whether it’s his rare length, his explosive quickness or his height, Omenihu possess the tools to become an elite pass rusher in the NFL. All of which have contributed to his steady climb in the prospect rankings.

His 2018 stats haven’t hurt either. Omenihu finished second in the Big 12 in both sacks and tackles for loss, recording nine and a half and 18 respectively. After playing against him during the 2017 regular season and at the 2018 Senior Bowl, Missouri quarterback Drew Locke said of Omenihu that “the Texas defensive end has hit me multiple times in my life. Yeah. He’s pretty good.”

Another aspect of Omenihu’s game garnering attention is his ability to be a rushing force from both the inside and outside positions on the defensive line. If asked to play at the tackle position, Omenihu will add more weight; if slotted as an end, Omenihu will shed a few pounds. His long arms ought to lead to a few batted balls at the line of scrimmage, as well.

Omenihu certainly appears set to become a player who benefits from combine hype and that momentum could even carry him into the first round on draft day.
