Between Ben Banogu and L.J. Collier, TCU had quite the pass-rushing combination in 2018. Collier added six sacks and 11.5 tackles for loss as a defensive end in 2018. Collier was listed and primarily played defensive tackle his sophomore and junior seasons.

Energetic and physical best describe Collier. At 6-foot-4, 276 pounds, Collier found himself all over the field for the TCU defense in 2018 – sometimes on the edge, sometimes on the inside of the line and sometimes even in coverage. His consistent motor more than his athleticism allowed him to make plays.

Collier lacks the speed and quickness of highly-coveted pass-rushers and his girth hasn’t always led to run-stopping production. His experience at rushing from different positions on the line should afford him a shot to become a contributing NFL lineman – especially if he can put on a few more pounds of muscle to better compete as an inside rusher.

Daniel Jeremiah, an NFL Network analyst, said he sees Collier as a top 50 player, but most other scouts have him ranked as a later-round prospect. He played well at the Senior Bowl and, as always, if Collier dominates at the combine, he could push his way into day two of the draft.
