Oklahoma’s offense generally conjures thoughts of a high-flying down-field passing game. But one of the Sooner’s most talented players over the past few years lined up as a running back – when he was healthy, at least. Rodney Anderson entered the 2018 season positioned to contend for the title of the top-rated running back in college football and possibly even a Heisman before he was hit with an ACL injury in the second week of the season. And this wasn’t the first time Anderson had missed significant time as either; in fact, Anderson missed the lion’s share of his college career because of injuries.

When healthy, Anderson flashed as an explosive, dynamic playmaker. Anderson amassed 1,161 yards and 13 touchdowns in his redshirt sophomore campaign in 2017 – the lone season he was truly healthy. He also collected five touchdown receptions and recorded 281 receiving yards. No doubt, Anderson has the ability to become a star in the NFL.

A lack of recent playing time and concerns about his durability have unfortunately sunk Anderson draft stock, but the combine will provide the perfect opportunity for Anderson to prove his health and showcase his abundant physical tools. If he’s able to impress before the draft, Anderson could find himself selected earlier than expected.
