As Mel Kiper’s eighth-ranked tackle moving into the draft, Yodny Cajuste appears to be headed to the NFL as a second or third round selection. Cajuste made the All-Big 12 First-Team and was named the Big 12’s Co-Offensive Lineman of the year in 2018. He was a three-year starter for the West Virginia Mountaineers.

Cajuste features great size and length (6-foot-5, 321 pounds) and his elite athleticism bring intrigue to his profile. Bruce Feldman of The Athletic named Cajuste to his “2018 College Football Freaks List” because he can bench press 495 pounds, dead lift 735 pounds and ran a faster 10-yard split than any other offensive lineman on record in the previous three years. According to Rotoworld, Cajuste also has a mean streak when approaching his blocking assignment.

Two concerns have dogged Cajuste’s rankings. First, Cajuste tore his ACL in 2016 and had previously missed time because of his knee. He hasn’t missed significant time since, but teams may still worry about his durability. Second, according to Dane Brugler of The Athletic, Crajuste remains inconsistent even after starting 30 games during his college career.

If he can remain healthy and consistent, Cajuste could certainly develop into a long-time starter for any NFL team.
