UMass wide receiver Andy Isabella has been one of the most productive skill-position players in the country over the last couple of years. Following up a junior campaign that saw him produce over 1000 receiving yards, Isabella led the nation in receiving yards as a senior with 1698 yards despite consistently being the focal point of defensive gameplans and catching passes from mediocre quarterbacks.

Isabella had a strong showing at the Senior Bowl in January, putting together a strong game performance that bookended a good overall week in Mobile. Isabella is a day three receiver who could be one of the steals of the draft; a good showing in Indianapolis could vault him into day two consideration.

Isabella is a speedy, quick-twitch receiver who has excellent foot speed that allows him to gain initial separation at the line of scrimmage. He’s not just your typical, undersized slot receiver though, as Isabella has the ability to take the top off of defenses with his initial burst on go-routes.

Isabella has performed in the biggest moments, most notably torching Georgia this past November in a game in Athens. He caught 15 passes for 219 yards and a pair of touchdowns as the Minutemen put up 27 points in the loss to the Bulldogs.

Isabella will work well out of the slot in an offense that can get him the ball in space. He’s a shifty runner who thrives with the ball in his hands, and could ultimately become a factor as a punt returner in the NFL as well.

His 40-time will be of particular interest, with the UMass product clocking in at a 4.39 at the 2014 SPARQ combine coming out of high school. If he can run in the 4.3 range this week, his arrow will be pointing up heading into the draft.
