Kyler Murray‘s appearances at the NFL Combine continue to make him a polarizing NFL Draft prospect. Why might teams be concerned?

Murray has decided not to throw or participate in drills at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis. How much does that change things for him? I don’t know. I don’t agree with the decision at all, though he has his Pro Day to show scouts what he is made of. That’s just the start of reasons to be concerned about Murray as an NFL prospect.

3. His personality isn’t exactly what a leader would be.

Baker Mayfield was everything a team could want. He had the leadership qualities. His charisma is out of this world. He has the ability to talk in interviews and lead his teammates to places that they need to be. The question now is if Kyler Murray has that same ability and honestly I am not sure he does. Yes, he is the Heisman winner and that does mean something, but what that means is talent on the field, not talent in the locker room.

We all saw his interviews while he was deciding whether he would pursue football or baseball, the man is not very good with words and is just overall well- awkward. Will he be able to lead an NFL locker room? Especially one with a brand new coach, a guy that couldn’t even get Patrick Mahomes to a bowl game? I’m not so sure.
