2. How Kyler deals with adversity is center stage.

Kyler Murray started his football career at Texas A&M under Kevin Sumlin. He chose to go with his father’s alma mater for reasons that are truly unknown. No matter what the reasons were though, he chose to transfer from Texas A&M and look for a new spot.

So, let’s ask this, why does him transferring many anything to those NFL scouts who are looking at him? Players transfer every single day, especially quarterbacks in 2019 it seems. It is as simple as this, the going was getting rough at Texas A&M and instead of sticking it through and earning a starting spot- he chose to run away and find somewhere else to play.

The other issue is one that every NFL scout seems to see. Kyler Murray’s father Kevin may be just be calling the shots and if that is the case then he will not handle adversity well on the NFL stage when daddy can’t come save him anymore. Is that a mean assumption? Maybe, but it is something that scouts are concerned about.

NFL.com reporter Tom Pelissero contacted Kevin Murray in the past week. He said that Kyler has a great support system, but he makes his own decisions while his parents advise him in that process. His parents are confident in his ability to make those decisions, but they still may be too involved for many peoples tastes.
