2019 NFL Draft: 10 players trending up after NFL Combine

NC State’s Garrett Bradbury had a strong showing at the NFL Combine that solidified his place as a first round pick come April. Bradbury is the draft’s top overall center, and has the ability to play any of the interior spots along the offensive line.

Bradbury was a tight-end coming out of high school and shifted to the interior of the NC State offensive line, something you would never guess based on how polished he already is with his technique. He’s a road grater on the ground with powerful hands and swiftness out of his breaks to get to the second level and take on a linebacker.

Bradbury’s athleticism was on display in Indy as he was one of the most impressive interior linemen through workouts. He finished third among offensive linemen with a 4.92 40-yard dash, and second on the bench press with 34 reps. He also had a vertical that exceeded 30 inches, all of which are very impressive numbers for a man his size.

He looked extremely fluid going through all of the drills, and while he came to the combine as a fringe-first round prospect, he seems to have solidified his spot as a first round pick. Bradbury could climb as high as the top-half of the first round, with plenty of teams having a need for a dominant interior lineman like him.

Bradbury was one of college football’s top offensive linemen last season, but somehow flew under the radar in the early pre-draft process. Scouts and prognosticators are taking notice of his talent now, and he should make an NFL fanbase very happy even if he isn’t the sexiest pick.
