WR. Arizona State. N'Keal Harry. 26. player. 46.

There’s a logjam of receivers fighting for late first round consideration, and I currently believe Arizona State’s N’Keal Harry, with his combo of size, athleticism, and hands is just a little ahead of the next crop of receivers.

The Colts hit a home run in last year’s draft class and their roster is suddenly good enough that they could target a luxury player like Harry to elevate their offense and give Andrew Luck another weapon. Harry would be an ideal fit alongside T.Y. Hilton, and could be the missing piece between the Colts taking the step from surprising playoff team to AFC contender.

If a wide receiver is the direction Indianapolis chooses to go, there’s a ton of talented options still on the board with this pick. Along with Harry, Ole Miss’s A.J. Brown, Ohio State’s Parris Campbell, Iowa State’s Hakeem Butler, and NC State’s Kelvin Harmon are all first round talents who the Colts will have to evaluate closely in order to decipher who represents the best fit.

The Colts might also be intrigued by Texas’ versatile defensive lineman Charles Omenihu, who has shot up draft boards since an excellent showing at the Senior Bowl. His measurments and combine performance have him in contention for a late first round spot, something that is crazy to consider since he was once thought as a potential day three prospect.

A safety or a corner would also make sense for Indianapolis here. Luckily for them, they have an early selection in the second round of the draft where they can grab another impact player in the early part of day two.
