Quarterback

There are plenty of questions surrounding the quarterback position in Morgantown. Is the job Jack Allison’s to lose? If Austin Kendall outperforms Allison, will the teammates who’ve played with Allison the past two years buy in? Can Trey Lowe get into the competition? Some of these questions won’t be answered by the spring game, but the situation will only progress.

Starting quarterback: Jack Allison
Reserve quarterback: Austin Kendall

Jack Allison gets the starting nod at quarterback, for the simple fact he’s familiar with his targets at wide receiver. He didn’t perform all that well in the Camping World Bowl, but WVU often struggled in bowl games under Holgorsen. Oklahoma-transfer Austin Kendall couldn’t win the job at Oklahoma, although he was competing against two consecutive Heisman winners.
