West Virginia’s secondary was a revolving door in 2018 with at least six different players seeing action at cornerback. There was some shuffling around, too, in particular Derrek Pitts, Jr. moving from corner to safety.

Keith Washington, Jr. emerged following that roster move, and seems to have carved out a nice role for himself. He was an All-Big 12 Honorable Mention at corner and finished fifth in the league with three interceptions. Washington’s nine pass breakups ranked second on the ‘Eers, and he also racked up 40 tackles.

Washington spent two years at Michigan before going to Copiah-Lincoln C.C. for a year. The JuCo recruits were always big for the previous regime, and they’ll prove to help Brown early in his tenure at WVU, especially players like Washington.
