Other potential Buckeye draftees

Nearing the end of the 2019 NFL Draft, it doesn’t appear the Ohio State Buckeyes will break any records for most players being drafted. They did have a nice little run early on, though. Let’s recap.

  • Nick Bosa at No. 4 (Raiders)
  • Dwayne Haskins at No. 6 (Giants)
  • Parris Campbell at No. 35 (Raiders)
  • Dre’Mont Jones at No. 39 (Buccaneers)
  • Michael Jordan at No. 54 (Texans)

A handful of other Ohio State prospects could hear their names called later on Day 2 and on Day 3. On the offensive line there are guards Demetrius Knox and Malcolm Pridgeon along with tackle Isaiah Prince.

Wide receivers Johnnie Dixon and Terry McLaurin have dreams of being drafted, too, and with the way the NFL has been trending, finding contributors late in the draft at wide receiver separates the good teams from the bad teams.

With the sheer number of rookie Buckeyes in the NFL in 2019, there’s a decent chance one could win Rookie of the Year. Expect Bosa and Haskins to be early front-runners, as they’ll both likely be thrust into starting roles from Day 1.
