Georgia Football: Top 5 spring 2019 storylines to follow

4. Wide receivers
So you’ve got Jake Fromm. But who is he going to throw the ball to?
The Bulldogs lost a heck of a lot at receiver following 2018. Gone is Riley Ridley to the NFL, as are talented wideouts Mecole Hardman and Isaac Nauta.
But you don’t recruit on Georgia’s level and not reload. The Dogs have plenty of incoming cavalry.
With his formidable size and strength, Jeremiah Holloman will likely emerge as Fromm’s top target. There is also a good chance that D’Andre Swift could become something like Saquon Barkley or Christian McCaffrey, pounding you on the ground but also catching balls out of the backfield.
Talent isn’t an issue. But it will be interesting to see how the new cast of receivers, tight ends, and backfield pass catchers gel during the spring and summer. Head coach Kirby Smart has said that the Bulldogs plan to take a “committee approach” at wide receiver.
Additional names to look out for include Lawrence Cager, a big target who could develop into a serious downfield threat if he can avoid ball drops. There are also several young wide receivers itching for a breakout, including Trey Blount, Dominick Blaylock, and the highly touted George Pickens.
