NFL Draft 2019: 7-Round Mock Draft projections for every team
The Dolphins have begun their rebuild in earnest after dealing Ryan Tannehill to Tennessee and bringing in Ryan Fitzpatrick to bridge the gap until the team can obtain a franchise quarterback. Some analysts still believe Miami is going to take a quarterback in the first round this year, with Drew Lock certainly being vetted by the franchise.
All signs have pointed toward the Dolphins being all-in on a quarterback in the 2020 class, with their eyes squarely set on Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa. If that’s truly the case, then it would make sense for Miami to set the table for him by fortifying his offensive line and weapons ahead of time.
How fitting would it be, if the team truly covets Tagovailoa, to draft the man tasked with protecting him at left tackle last season?
I’m still very high on Jonah Williams, and don’t buy into the concerns regarding his lack or arm length. His arms are longer than Washington State’s Andre Dillard, and yet no one has spoken about the need to shift him inside.
Whether Williams ultimately stays at tackle or kicks inside to guard, he has All Pro potential. He’s a true student of the game, and is one of the safer overall prospects in this class. His absolute floor looks like a solid starter in the league.
