5. Josh Rosen isn’t traded … yet

The Kyler Murray is the odds-on favorite to be the No. 1 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. If he is selected first, the Arizona Cardinals will have some decisions to make, chief among them: what do they do with Josh Rosen?

Last year’s first round selection by Arizona, Rosen will most certainly be shipped out the door to another team in need of a quarterback. The Los Angeles Chargers and New England Patriots have been mentioned as potential suitors, as have the Washington Redskins. If the Redskins are able to land a passer in Round 1, though, they might not have the need to trade for Rosen.

That sets up an interesting dilemma. Neither the Chargers or the Patriots have an immediate need for a new quarterback, meaning a draft night trade isn’t a must. It could still happen, but there is plenty of time for all the teams involved to sleep on things before making a significant decision.
