Though the defense seems to be ahead of the offense this spring, Jaylen Erwin was one of the few bright spots for the Bruins on that side of the ball.

The JUCO transfer looked to take the next step this spring and assume a starting role in the receiving corps with a huge spring game.

Although he didn’t quite develop a rapport with Dorian Thompson-Robinson as he caught a 50-yard pass from Austin Burton, he has plenty of time for that. He moved the chains all afternoon and looked like a solid go-to receiver who could breakout out in the slot.

Erwin wasn’t the most sought-after JUCO recruit out there, but he has definitely been exceeding expectations this spring and has made a name for himself.

Looking for an offensive weapon trending up after spring ball? Erwin is your guy.
