Best Player: TBD
Best Value: TBD

It might be a bit premature to name a class that hasn’t seen a regular season game as the second-best class of the decade, but this class has more potential than I’ve seen in a long time. The team fills needs, has plenty of upside at key positions, and looks to be the future of Alabama football.

Offensively, you have to start with the quarterbacks. Taulia Tagovailoa and Paul Tyson both have family ties to Alabama. There’s no reason to believe that both of those players will bust. Alabama almost definitely has Tua’s replacement in this recruiting class. You also have potential bookend tackles with Evan Neal and Pierce Quick. John Metchie wasn’t a highly-ranked recruit, but he is already showing promise in spring workouts.

Of course, no talk about the offense in this class can be had without mentioning Trey Sanders. Sanders is expected to be the next featured running back at Alabama. He will simply be too talented to keep off the field.

Defensively, this team has talent at every position. Defensive line has Antonio Alfano and Justin Eboigbe, two stellar defensive ends. Between them will be DJ Dale, the future at defensive tackle. Dale might be a starter as a freshman, something that is incredibly difficult to do on the defensive line.

Shane Lee will work in at the Will Linebacker position behind a couple of other players. He’s shown promise in the spring.

You also have plenty of talent in the secondary in terms of quantity. We will have to wait to see which specific players turn into the quality stars that Alabama will have to have going forward.
