Ole Miss Football: 5 post-spring bold predictions for 2019

2. Matt Corral throws for 3,500 yards

This might be the boldest of these predictions because again, the run game will be more prominent, but with a gunslinger like Matt Corral, the passing game is still going to be potent.

Corral played in four games last season so while it isn’t a lot of experience, it’s still enough to give him a taste of the SEC.

The stable of receivers isn’t bare either. Elijah Moore returns, as does Braylon Sanders as well as some well-regarded former recruits in Miles Battle, Dontario Drummond and Jadon Jackson.

With a defense that is at best an unknown commodity at this point, Corral will have to put points on the board with his arm. He should be able to continue the recent success of Ole Miss quarterbacks from Bo Wallace to Chad Kelly and then Jordan Ta’amu, all of whom put up incredible numbers.

With all that said, look for Corral to put up at least 3,500 yards in his first full season as starter.
