NCAA Football: 5 features that must be in next EA Sports video game
By Dakota Cox
If we’re going to get a new NCAA Football video game, there will have to be some changes. What are some things that have to be included?
College football fans have been begging for a video game ever since NCAA Football 14 was released. Due to legal issues, no one has been allowed to sell a licensed video game, but the demand is at an all-time high. Fans still own old consoles just to play this one video game.
Fans have missed out on the opportunity to play as some of the greatest players of college football like Derrick Henry, Lamar Jackson, Deshaun Watson, Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray, and Tua Tagovailoa. They also haven’t had a video game with the new bowl games or the College Football Playoff. Some teams have changed conferences and divisions, so that hasn’t been updated either. All in all, there just seems to be a ton of things that fans haven’t been able to do because of no new game.
However, fans should have hope. The biggest reason that there hasn’t been a college football video game is because of an NCAA rule that states that no student athletes can make money off of their image or likeness. Recently, they have actually gotten a group of people to research this and decide if players should be allowed to make money off of their image. It seems like a logical thing to allow, and it cracks open the door of being another NCAA football game. This is not set in stone, but it’s the closest fans have gotten to another college football game since the last one was released.
If we get this video game, however, there will need to be some changes to bring it up-to-date and make it worth it for fans. Here are some things that you could see in a new NCAA Football game.
