NCAA Football: 5 features that must be in next EA Sports video game
By Dakota Cox
5. Legacy teams
We have missed out on so many star college football players due to the absence of NCAA Football. Because of this, I think that legacy teams should be added into the first college football video game brought back.
This is something that 2K does for NBA teams. If you were one of the best teams in your era, you made it into the video game. You could also play as all of the greatest players from one franchise in NBA history. You would have to get creative, but something like that has to happen.
Any team that made the College Football Playoff would clearly have to be in the game. You would also need some of the other historic teams like Ohio State with Haskins, Georgia’s last team, and others that were on the edge of the making the CFP.
You could also create a team with the best players of the past decade for each team in the Power 5, but that would get tricky. Would would win the starting quarterback job: Baker Mayfield or Kyler Murray? Alabama has dozens of great defensive linemen, so some wouldn’t make the cut. This would help, but it raises more questions than it answers.
You can call them whatever you want, but I think you just need to add some of the best teams with the best players into the game. Who cares if Louisville wasn’t a great team? The fans deserve to have Lamar Jackson and his teammates in the game. The same can go for just about any great player that isn’t on a team competing for the Playoff.
You obviously can’t add every single team from the past five years, but you can do your best to add the best players and best teams that fans will want to use.
