NCAA Football: 5 features that must be in next EA Sports video game

3. Revamped dynasty mode
NCAA Football had some of the greatest game modes in video game history, and dynasty mode was the best of the best. Fans got to be the head coach of their favorite team, make decisions on the schedule, recruit players and try to make it to the BCS National Championship Game. Maybe expectations were just lower in 2014, but no other game has lived up to NCAA dynasty mode.
Of course, they can’t just copy the old dynasty mode and paste it into a new video game. Fans are used to a more involved experience now. They want to make decisions outside of the games. Whether they want to be given options in how they recruit players, have a more in-game display when making depth charts, or anything else, it is very important for fans to be involved.
EA Sports has struggled with this in their Madden games, but they have emphasized it as a key focus in their upcoming NFL video game. If they get it right, they can bring some of the concepts to a potential college football video game. They can also focus more on other game modes like a single-player campaign or an Ultimate Team.
These types of game modes are much more popular than the “Play Now” mode that is simply just gameplay, so it becomes incredibly important to nail things like dynasty mode.
