1. College football mini-games

These used to be common in older versions of NCAA Football, but they didn’t make the cut of the last few games of the series. I’m not sure if they would ever want to bring them back, but it would give the game a vintage feel that would entice fans into buying the game.

Mini-games have nothing to do with an actual football game. They are basically fun events you can do since you have hundreds of avatars in the system. Players in real life would never do these things against other teams, but it’s fun to do in a virtual reality.

You could add things like kicking competitions, tug-of-war, passing competitions, a punt-return gauntlet, and plenty of other things. Some would involve every player on a team, while others would involve only a few players.

It also gives gamers something to do that doesn’t take the length of a full game. You can play against your friends in NCAA Football without playing the video game for an hour just to get one or two games in. Plus, who wouldn’t want to see Tua and Trevor Lawrence compete in a passing competition.

The beauty of mini-games is that there is no limit to what you can do. You just have to get creative when you create the game. You can keep it simple with an Oklahoma Drill, or you could create new games that have nothing to do with traditional football.

There are hundreds of things that could be added to make a great NCAA Football video game, but these five would be at the top my list if I were creating the game. At the end of the day, I’m sure fans will just be happy with an opportunity to play a game as their favorite players.
