3. Being Alabama’s head coach would consolidate power

Alabama and Clemson have been thorns in each other’s sides for the past four years, and they will continue to be until something big changes. Alabama won’t be as good as they have been once Alabama has to replace Saban, but you have to think that they will still be one of the best teams. Alabama is going to hire a guy that Saban endorses, so they will continue to have great recruiting classes and a quality coaching staff.

If Dabo Swinney stays at Clemson, they might get better than Alabama, but they will still be two of the best teams in college football. If Dabo goes to Alabama, he can build an absolute powerhouse. He would have the best players, the best facilities, a loyal fanbase, and he could merge his coaching staff with Saban’s. He would instantly become a nightmare for all other teams in college football.

It’s clear that Alabama has more to offer than Clemson outside of the coaching staff. Dabo’s job would instantly get easier if he moved to Tuscaloosa. Clemson would still be a great team, but nothing like what Alabama would be without Nick Saban.

It might make college football a little more boring, but Dabo could potentially break Saban’s titles record if he stayed at Alabama for the rest of his career. It would make a lot of fans upset, but it would probably be the best career move that he could make.
