Washington Football: Post-spring game-by-game predictions for 2019
Quite possibly Washington’s biggest competition in the Pac-12 North, Stanford is going to give the Huskies a run for their money in Week 6.
Washington does have a relatively favorable schedule, as far as Power Five teams go, and that makes this game all the more critical. This could be the toughest game on the schedule for the Huskies and if they can get past the Cardinal, they’ll be in every playoff conversation.
The Cardinal aren’t going to be that easy on the Huskies, though. In fact, they’re going to treat this like a battle for the conference title.
KJ Costello is going to put the nation on notice against one of the best secondaries in the country, posting 300 yards and three touchdowns while Cameron Scarlett and Trevor Speights struggle on the ground against this elite front-seven.
The Huskies will experience their first stumble of the season, but luckily for them, there’s still half a season left to make up for it.
Final Score: Washington 20, Stanford 27 (5-1, 2-1)
