Injuries have plagued Anfernee Jennings, but last year was his first year to play every game for the Crimson Tide. In that junior year, he got 5.5 sacks and 13 tackles for loss. However, his best trait was the ability to bat the ball down at the line of scrimmage. He had 11 passes defended, third-most in the SEC.

With Terrell Lewis back in 2019, they will be a great tandem at the outside linebacker position. Their abilities to rush the passer on either side of the line will help alleviate pressure for the young pieces on the defensive line.
Every time Jennings is on the field, he makes the team better. His performances were sometimes shadowed by Christian Miller last season, but that doesn’t mean that he didn’t have solid production. He reads the offense, and he can have a presence against both the passing and running game.
Terrell Lewis might cover how well Jennings performs this season, but they both should have quality production for Alabama football. Also, Jennings brings a leadership to the team that most can’t provide. This defense will turn to him when things get tough, and he has the leadership to get them through just about anything.
Alabama really likes Jennings, and he shows you why both on and off the field.
