Texas A&M won both of their games against the Mississippi schools in their inaugural SEC season in 2012. They did it again in 2013 but haven’t done it again since. Ole Miss has flashed spurts of come-from-behind magic and Mississippi State has outclassed the Aggies game after game.

Nobody played well for Texas A&M against Mississippi State last year. In a game that was ugly from the start, Texas A&M trailed 13-14 with less than two minutes to go in the third quarterback before two Nick Fitzgerald touchdowns sealed the game.

Whoever is trusted to run the offense for the Bulldogs this season, the productivity isn’t likely to skyrocket. Joe Moorehead is regarded well in college football circles as a leading offensive mind, but his Penn State offenses had the benefits of Saquon Barkley. Mississippi State is still looking for a game breaker in the ballpark of his caliber.

As is tradition with these two teams, it’ll be about slugfest. This time Kellen Mond’s maturity shines through. After going silent in the fourth quarter last year, Mond puts his team on his back with a game-winning drive.

Record: 7-1 (5-0)
