5. Georgia Bulldogs

QB: Jake Fromm
RB: D’Andre Swift
WR: Jeremiah Holloman

The talent at wide receiver might be depleted for Georgia, but they are still bringing back one of the best quarterback/running back duos in the country. They just need a quality talent at receiver to make the top five.

Fromm has been hyped for the past two years, and this year will be his last chance to shine. He will be without some of the best receivers in the country, but he is still a top quarterback. He will throw an accurate ball to open receivers, he just needs someone to get open and make the play.

When the team decides not to throw the ball, they will be giving it to a proven talent in D’Andre Swift. There’s really no way for defenses to win. Swift has been a part of a stable of backs before, but he will be the guy without Elijah Holyfield on the team. He got over 1000 rushing yards in limited time last year, and still got 10 touchdowns. His 6.4 yards a rush was very impressive, and he hopes to get his overall numbers up this year now that Holyfield is no longer in the running back room.

Without all of the top receivers from last year, there will be an open competition for the top receiver for the Bulldogs. My best guess as to who will win the job is Jeremiah Holloman. Holloman will be a junior this year, and he led the team in average yards per reception. However, he only had 24 total catches. I’m assuming he will get closer to 50 this year.

Even if it isn’t Holloman, there were certainly be some receiver that gets a boost from the loss of receiver talent. It won’t take a lot to be the best receiver on this team, but I don’t think it matters that much. After all, you are still working Fromm and Swift. The path to success behind the two of them gets pretty easy.
