College Football: Top 30 skill position players for 2019 season

Henry Ruggs is one of the fastest players in the country. He has legitimate 4.2 speed. As a receiver in the potent Alabama offense, he makes the most of his opportunities.
As a freshman, Ruggs didn’t get a ton of targets. he was known mostly for his ability to score touchdowns on every reception he got early in the year. In fact, his first five catches of his collegiate career were all touchdowns. This carried into his sophomore year, where he had 11 touchdowns on 46 catches.

Not only does Ruggs have the speed to blow by corners, but his hands are impressive. It’s not that he makes contested catches, but he has the ability to make the acrobatic catch. He can contort his body towards the ball, and his hand strength makes any catch possible.
If Ruggs didn’t have to share targets with Jerry Jeudy, Devonta Smith and Jaylen Waddle, he would have the potential to obliterate records at Alabama. However, Tua Tagovailoa still spreads the ball evenly.
With any other quarterback, Ruggs would not get nearly enough targets. However, Tua can scan the field and find the open man with ease. He is great at going through progressions. If you’re open, he will find you. Thankfully for the Tide, Ruggs is open a lot.
If the offense changes to include more of Ruggs this season, he could easily reach the 1,000-yard mark as a junior. Either way, he will be one of the top receivers in the 2020 NFL Draft, and he will make fans of any team happy.
