Joe Moorhead has a big decision to make

Despite Nick Fitzgerald’s inconsistencies as a passer last year, his overall production and experience will make it tough to replace him.

While the quarterback for Mississippi State this year most likely won’t put up the rushing numbers Fitzgerald did, they will be looking to improve in the passing department. It would not be a surprise to see both of them get meaningful snaps this year unless someone runs away with the job.

Whoever becomes the backup should still have a role in the offense in some fashion.

This quarterback competition has become one of the more intriguing competitions in the SEC and Coach Moorhead’s main priority will be to make sure they have the right guy under center once the season rolls around.
