Bo Nix forms two-man battle after Malik Willis transfer

True freshman Bo Nix was Auburn’s prized recruit of the 2019 recruiting class as he comes in as a five-star and the No. 1 dual threat quarterback in the class, according to 247Sports. Nix was the Alabama Gatorade Player of the Year this past year. He also had over 12,000 career total yards with 161 career touchdowns — yes, it is high school, but those numbers are hard to fathom.

As most Auburn and SEC fans know, Nix is the son of former Auburn quarterback Patrick Nix, who also coached him in high school. He was unstoppable in high school and has the Auburn fans excited to what he could potentially do for them for the next few years.

Below is a clip of Nix from Auburn’s spring game. He performed well in the spring game and while the receiver was wide open, you can get a glimpse of how effortless it is for Nix to flick the ball out there.

The future is bright under center for Auburn, but the coaching staff has a major decision to make with Nix or Joey Gatewood.
