Mike Gundy doesn’t name a starting QB this year
Mike Gundy mentioned in his opening statement how excited he was to be at media day for the 15th time and how he was more excited than any about this upcoming season. He mentioned that due to a disappointing 2018 season he was anxious to get this season started.
When asked about any changes to defensive system giving deficiencies they had last year, Gundy said that they would run the same system but they have to be more disciplined in execution. He was also asked if, like last year, he was ready to name a starter at media day and he replied he would be ready to name starter when he feels one has earned the job.
Gundy was asked about new offensive coordinator Sean Gleeson and how offense would change. He stressed that offense would stay the same but that Gleeson has brought a lot of enthusiasm to offense. He mentioned that he is as quarterback technician.
