2. It’s put up or shut up time for Jim Harbaugh

The maize and blue faithful been waiting for Jim Harbaugh to deliver his alma mater its first-ever berth into the Big Ten Championship Game.

Unfortunately, Michigan has yet to beat Ohio State under Harbaugh, losing four straight, including a 23-point loss that kept the team from clinching the East last season. However, Meyer has left the building and it’s the perfect time for the Wolverines to capitalize on the opportunity.

Harbaugh has an experienced quarterback in Shea Patterson, but he must replace his top-two rushers.

Rashard Gary, Chase Winovich and Devin Bush are all on NFL rosters now and the defensive front-seven will see a drop-off in production without their experience and leadership.

Michigan must travel to Wisconsin and Penn State, but get Notre Dame, Michigan State and Ohio State inside the Big House this season. The verdict is still out on whether the Wolverines have reached their ceiling under Harbaugh and he’ll feel some pressure to win big this season.
