3. The Camback (2010)
Final Score: Alabama 27, Auburn 28
Although this game happened many years ago, Alabama fans have a vivid memory of it. Losing to your rival is always tough. However, this loss hurt more than most.
Firstly, this was a home game for the Tide. You never want to lose at home against your rival, and Saban rarely does it. Auburn had more riding on this game, with a chance to play for a BCS National Championship hanging in the balance. With two losses already on their schedule, Alabama was mostly looking to play spoiler in the Iron Bowl. They also wanted to stop Cam Newton, who they had heard about all season.

Instead of this happening, Alabama delivered the Heisman Trophy to Newton in Tuscaloosa. Newton had his Heisman moment, and it was one for the ages. Halfway through the second quarter, Alabama had a 24-0 lead on the Tigers. It felt as if Alabama was going to prove that Auburn was overrated and spoil their hopes for the season.
However, Auburn came back in historic fashion. Alabama managed to only score three points in the rest of the game, and they were simply unable to stop Cam, who finished scoring all four of Auburn’s touchdowns. Auburn then went on to win a ring for the first time in decades.
It hurts to lose to a bitter rival. The worst part is when it goes into the history books and is given a name. This was certainly one of the worst Iron Bowls since Saban coached for the Tide.
