Logan Wilson and Cassh Maluia lead strong Wyoming defense

Where offense is somewhat of an unknown for Wyoming in 2019, defense is the opposite. The linebackers will be the top defensive group with the duo of Logan Wilson and Cassh Maluia. Wilson had 103 tackles last year and Maluia recorded 46.

Wilson is an all-over-the-field playmaker and makes his presence known early and often.

The secondary is experienced at corner with returning starters Tyler Hall and Antonio Hull. The latter can also move around to safety if need be. Safety is a bit of a mystery; Alijah Halliburton is a senior and should provide a steady, knowledgeable hand in the defensive backfield.

The biggest unknown for the Cowboys on defense is along the defensive line. They return defensive ends Garrett Crall and Josiah Hall who are both experienced playmakers. The tackles will be the concern but they’ll have help with how good the rest of the defense is, which should give the defensive line time to gel.
