Can Jeff Monken and Army football have won 10 games two years in a row. Can the Black Knights silence doubters and make it three?

Jeff Monken has turned around Army football in the last three years. He’s had a winning record three consecutive seasons and has won 10 games in the last two.

Army was the first Commander-in-Chief Trophy winner, but had won it the fewest times of any service academy. However, Monken and the Black Knights have won it two years in a row. The Black Knights have won three bowl games in a row, and finished ranked in the top 25 for the first time since 1996.

Last year, they gave Oklahoma all kinds of fits in a 28-21 overtime loss, and dominated the Houston Cougars 70-14 in the Armed Forces Bowl.

What could Monken and the Knights possibly do for an encore? Here’s a preview of their 2019 season.
