College football’s Group of Five includes some of the most overlooked and underrated players in the nation. Who could turn some heads in 2019?

The underappreciated crop of Group of Five talent seemingly grows every year. With talent littered all over the country, some of the best players still represent to this day the schools of the Mountain West, American Athletic, Sun Belt and Conference USA.

The 2019 season is no different, with a deep and supremely talented quarterback class in the lower ranks, some of these are worth watching when your Power Five team isn’t on, and some may even pull off the upset on your favorite team.

The best group of five teams have managed to find the recruiting gems, or score on transfers who couldn’t fit in their school. This is the most effective way of staying competitive in an unbalanced game.

McKenzie Milton and Brett Rypien were two of the best quarterbacks in the country last season, while players in the past such as Khalil Mack, Ben Rothlisberger and Antonio Brown all came from Group of Five schools as well.
