Statistically speaking, Spencer Brown is by far the best running back in the group of five. In fact, only Jonathan Taylor and AJ Dillon have more active rushing yards than Brown, who has rushed for 2,556 yards and 27 touchdowns in just two years at UAB. He needs only 261 yards in the next two years to become the Blazers’ all-time leading rusher.

A converted linebacker in high school who can run a 4.5 40-yard dash, Brown has a nice blend of size and speed that can devastate opposing defenses.

The scariest part about Brown’s sophomore season is that coaches said he was only at about 80 percent after having offseason surgery for a foot injury.

Personally, I can’t wait to see what 100 percent Spencer Brown looks like, as he hopes to lead UAB to back-to-back Conference USA championships.
