Rutgers was again a Big Ten bottom feeder in 2018, and will likely be the same in 2019. Chris Ash has compiled a record of 7-29 in his three years in New Brunswick, and it doesn’t feel like much will change this season.

The Scarlet Knights ranked 130th nationally in scoring offense, as well as last in the Big Ten passing defense and total defense. Quarterback Arthur Sitkowski had a touchdown to interception ratio of 4-to-18.

This game had a final score of 52-3 a season ago, and the Buckeyes are licking their chops again for this one.

Prediction: Win (9-1, 6-1)

The most important two weeks of Ohio State’s season follows this game. If Rutgers was better, there may be look-ahead potential, but this is a team that only won a single game a year ago. Look for the Buckeyes to handle business, get the starters out, and gear up for these next two games.
